As well as composing and MD-ing, Thomas is a skilled and experienced musician, with considerable expertise in the field of improvisation as well as being a good reader. As a violinist, guitarist and accordion player he has many years of experience in theatre, bands, and as a session musician on a number of recordings. He is a member of the band The Lazy Susans, with whom he plays high-energy country/western swing.
